Beware you may ruin your iPod if you buy one of these. The unit leaked and killed my iPod. Customer service was terrible & handled this incident poorly. Also, the headphones Otterbox sells, "H2O Audio H1 Waterproof Headphones" are worse than terrible. Poor fit, poor seal, and very very poor audio quality... Once again, beware of Otterbox products and customer service! I was burned by Otterbox! Highly recomended This thing is great. Construction and design is solid. Very easy to use. A must have item if you have your Ipod around water. Highly recemend. A solid product. I was looking for a waterproof Mp3 player when I stumbled upon the Otterbox for your ipod. It has made swimming my mile and a half much more enjoyable. You will need some waterproof headphones. The box was recently reviewed by John Devork of personal computer fame and he gave it two thumbs up. The box has a built in headphone jak which leads to another on the outer top of the box. Its great if you have small kids as the box is built solid. However, it is NOT for skin divers as its water proof for only six feet. Perfect Just a few days after buying the Otterbox, I took a wave in the bow of my boat. Everything got soaked, including my Otterbox. The iPod kept playing, and was dry as a bone. A must for boating!! Great way to protect an iPod Purchased an Otterbox for my iPod Photo to use on vacation. Perfect for keeping sand out at the beach, splashes from the pool, and drips from drinks. Used this for a week and came home without a single grain of sand on the iPod or inside the case. We never submerged the iPod in water, but it was well splashed and stayed dry. Pros: Keeps out sand and water or other liquids. Headphone or speaker plug works well. Easy to use iPod wheel. Very sturdy. Cons: Have to open case to charge iPod, so cannot recharge and keep dry (minor "con" really). I highly recommend the OtterBox! |
