The non-skid bottom on the seat keeps you in place and the high back offers good support without getting in the way during your paddling motion. Theres not a lot of padding in the seat so you start to feel it after a couple of hours on the water. Ive had it in salt water a couple of times and no signs of corrosion on the latches yet. Overall a very good basic seat.
