Pelican 1510 Carry On     On: 2007-12-09

I travel for a living, and have found that this case is just the thing for a weekly turn around across the country. (Up Monday AM and back Thursday PM)
With my computer bag piggy back on top I can get through TSA much faster, not to mention the time NOT spent waiting for baggage claim. I feel secure that the contents will arrive intact, unlike soft sided bags.
OUTSTANDING CASE     On: 2007-11-17

I own three of these cases, and probably 20 other types of Pelican cases. Save yourself some money...buy this case FIRST rather than after buying all the others and kicking yourself for not getting this one (and saving yourself money). I travel a good bit and use it as my carryon and without question its able to take anything you dish out, rain, bad baggage handling, whatever. Its also great to use with its wheels through the airport with my Tumi briefcase sitting on top of it. If I have too much stuff, I throw it on with the checked baggage. If you pad stuff inside (if you dont get the interior foam...which I generally dont as it doesnt give enough room for everything) you can pad stuff and it will handle just about whatever you encounter. While doing my doctorate work, I had my books in one and dragged them all over the place doing research, etc. It was great to keep about 10-15 books in a case and go to a library to do work on my studies. But, be prepared to pay for this as an investment...youll get what you pay for!
