The DMM Spectre carabiner represents the pinnacle of modern metallurgy. This modified "D" shape carabiner has that silky-smooth, snappy gate action that sets the benchmark for climbing gear manufacturers. Although this carabiner is expensive, it is worth every penny. With a 10kN gate open strength, 3 sigma 24kN main axis strength, and tipping the scales at a scant 35 grams, this modern marvel is truly a work of art. This carabiner is made in Wales and hot forged. Hot forging allows DMM to remove metal where it is not needed without any loss in strength.
