More Information

Every serious climber needs at least one, or five.     On: 2004-06-02

DMM (Wales) has introduced yet another incredible product to the US market. The long awaited Revolver carabiner combines a hot forged wiregate carabiner and pulley and meets CE standard EN 12275 for carabiners as well as EN 12278 for pulleys.
DMM designed this carabiner to be used at the rope clipping end.
To reduce friction and the ever present earthward tug at your waist, this carabiner will prove useful on wandering pitches, at roofs, and for traverses. The pulley is entirely integrated into the carabiner, thus the user should be vigilant with inspection.
Check for free motion and be cautious of any nicks or burrs.
Time will tell just how useful this innovative piece of gear really is, but there are places where it should not be used, such as for clipping fixed gear or bolts for obvious reasons.

You may find this biner useful in many other applications, such as glacier travel or crevasse rescue. Those who run rivers in rafts or kayaks can only imagine the power and speed in which the z system can be set up with the help of the DMM Revolver.

Simply an amazing piece of gear.
$24.95 in only the best climbing shops.
