Visit the beach and maybe get wet, this keeps the cellphone, etc dry. pretty big, but better too big than too small. not as flexible as i would have hoped, but that is what makes it very strong. it still compacts well when empty. On: 2010-02-04
This is a wonderful product. Light, transparent, spacey, easy to seal, and does not leak.
Cant think of anything extra to wish for! On: 2010-01-10
I especially like the purge valve on this bag. I can make it smaller to fit behind the seat of my kayak. It seems pretty tough so it will last a few years. I also like the view window so I can see what I put in it. On: 2010-01-09
this item arrived on time and exactly as described - I would use this site again. On: 2009-10-13
This past summer, I took a trip in a canoe down 400 miles of the Mississippi. I talked with a lot of people and salespeople about the BEST bag I could buy to keep my stuff dry for the adventure. Everybody who had ever heard of the SEALINE Dry Bags recommended them. These things are tough. They are thick and do not rip easily. My favorite part of this bag is that it is clear.
I was able to keep all of my clothes for the trip in this bag (I do pack light though). Being that it is a clear bag, it was easy to see what I was grabbing to wear. At night, temperatures got below 30 degrees and all I had was a tent to sleep in. Wet clothes would have been my death and so, this bag saved my life in a round-a-bout kind of way.
Even when it rained... even when waves crashed over the canoes sides... even when I threw this bag on the ground and in the morning and thick dew saturated everything else- the contents I kept in this bag were dry as a bone. Often, this sat in the bottom of the canoe sloshing around in water!
Just to clarify, our bones are not really dry. They are actually living tissue. The contents in the bag were as dry as a bone is a figure of speech which, I believe, refers to the bones of a dead mouse but thats just an assumption... and you know what happens when we make assumptions... oh, wait- I assumed you knew.
Happy shopping and thanks for reading this review. I hope it helped! On: 2009-09-26
This is truly waterproof and it delivers dry in all weather! I used it on the motorcycle. Because of the give, it straps on the bike or fits in any type of saddle or sissybar bag. This is the larger bag but Ill be investing in a few of the smaller ones as well.
Great product!! On: 2009-09-11
It is not huge, but perfect for a day trip. Overnight would work if someone else was carrying the gear or it was in another bag. It is as described, and its best feature is the fact that it is see through - you can locate the item(s) you are looking for without having to wade through all the bags contents. My only gripe is that this vinyl gets sticky and static-y in the heat, making it harder to load. But I am pleased with this purchase overall. On: 2009-08-28
I have almost every size they make and they are Dry Bags... I have never had one allow water in when properly closed. I use on my motorcyles and my boat. On: 2009-06-03
It was a bit larger than I expected. Easy to use and the plastic is quite thick. Vendor delivered quickly and with no problems.I got it carry my DSLR camera while canoeing On: 2009-04-19
Works as advertised. Have used while kayaking & canoeing and it successfully keeps the contents dry. You must fold the top as described by the instructions for it to remain watertight. I also own a larger solid yellow bag - like the transparent plastic of this one - you can see what is inside without opening it - less secure though.
